Basso Moderno Duo

The mission of the Basso Moderno Duo is to promote the works of living composers from all over the world by educating nontraditional audiences about contemporary music. By creating a new repertoire for bass and piano from celebrated composers all over the world, they bring these works to diverse audiences, communicating beautiful, lyrical music from composers from vastly different backgrounds and experiences.
Basso Moderno aims to humanize people from different cultures. Through our new program we hope to bring a new point of view to our audiences and start a constructive dialog of understanding between the citizens of one country and those of the composers.
The purpose of the BMCF is to raise money to commission new works from composers all over the world.
The BMAS provides residency's for composers who wish to visit the United States in order to compose new works and to visit New York.
